ER Yacht Design is proud to unveil the SUPER-EXPEDITION 65 m, a striking new concept created for owners who demand far more than a conventional explorer yacht. Conceived as a bold and highly adaptable platform, this 65-metre design combines serious expedition capability with refined aesthetics, exceptional deck logistics, and true multi-role potential. It is a concept developed to answer a growing demand for yachts that can go beyond leisure cruising and serve as capable, elegant platforms for remote exploration, adventure, science, support operations, and extended global travel.

In a market where many expedition yachts follow familiar formulas, the SUPER-EXPEDITION 65 m has been designed to stand apart. Its defining feature is a removable modular system that allows the yacht to be configured according to the mission at hand. Depending on the owner’s intended use, the vessel can be equipped with additional guest accommodation, scientific laboratories, storage facilities, expedition support spaces, or other specialized modules. These pre-fabricated units are designed to be added or removed by the yacht’s onboard crane and secured to predetermined foundations, with integrated plug-in connections for electricity, plumbing, and other essential onboard services.

This capability transforms the yacht from a luxury expedition platform into something far more powerful: a genuine floating base of operations. One voyage may be dedicated to remote adventure and watersports, another to research, exploration, heli-operations, or long-range support. The concept drawings illustrate multiple arrangements, including full module configuration, main-deck module configuration, and a clean no-module version, showing how seamlessly the yacht can adapt without losing its identity.

What makes the SUPER-EXPEDITION 65 m especially compelling is that this flexibility has been achieved without sacrificing design integrity. The yacht has been carefully styled to maintain a sleek, coherent, and purposeful appearance both with and without modules installed. From an engineering perspective, the arrangement has also been considered with equal care. The location of the removable modules has been optimized in relation to the vessel’s centre of gravity in order to support flotation balance and stability, reinforcing the credibility of the concept as a serious offshore platform rather than a purely theoretical exercise.

The aft deck is one of the concept’s most remarkable features and immediately sets this yacht apart from the crowd. With approximately 375 square meters of open deck space, it offers the scale and carrying capacity normally associated with far larger support vessels, yet within a refined 65-metre yacht platform. This vast working and leisure deck can accommodate a 10 x 5 metre infinity pool convertible to a helipad, tenders of up to 15 metres, removable accommodation units, expedition vehicles and equipment, a submarine, or a variety of owner-specific toys and operational assets. Few yachts in this size range offer such a compelling balance of luxury, utility, and freedom of configuration. The module studies also show optional arrangements for both ground expedition base and on-water expedition base use, reinforcing the concept’s role as a true exploration platform.

At the same time, the SUPER-EXPEDITION 65 m remains a genuine superyacht in every sense. The fixed accommodation is arranged for 10 guests in four guest cabins and one VIP cabin, creating a strong and elegant baseline layout even before optional modules are introduced. This allows the yacht to function equally well as a luxurious private explorer, a support vessel for remote destinations, or an adaptable platform for extended global cruising with a far wider operational envelope than traditional yachts in her class. The principal dimensions further reinforce her presence, with an LOA of 65.0 metres, LWL of 62.0 metres, beam of 12.3 metres, and draft of 3.5 metres.
